I just upgraded “the inhumanist” to the latest version of Drupal 8. Though I am quite uncomfortable with the procedure, I am getting more used to it with time. I have often groaned at the preliminary backups, wondering if I could really restore the site from backup in a disaster, but having now performed a migration to a new hosting service, I beginning to trust the process. There is also the pointed question that if I didn’t have to backup the site for an occasional update, would I ever back it up? I’ve actually been doing better with those lately.
