Williamstown MA records show Jacob was a private in Capt Samuel Clars's Co., Col Benjamin Simond's Regt, from 14 Aug 1777 to 21 Aug 1777, for the Battle of Wallumisic near Bennimgton and to convey provisions to Pittsfield. From 12 Oct to 19 Oct 1780, he marched to northern frontiers by order of Gen Fellows on alarm.
Jacob was in NH as a Sgt in Capt Seth Wheeler's Co., Col Timothy Bedel's Regt, from 15 Dec 1777 to 31 Mar 1778 on a Canadian expedition. |
