Notes for Jacob Galucia
BIRTHPLACE: Massachusetts Vital Records: Williamstown. Residents in 1830 with births and deaths 1761-1830. Holbrook/Fiche #3. Dallas Public Library, Nov 1995. NOTE: Birthplace shows Berlin. Since no state is given, one would make the assumption that this is Berlin, MA. However, there is a Berlin, NY and a Berlin, CT. (Berlin, NY is about a mere 15 miles from Williamstown, MA; Berlin MA is on the other side of the state; Berlin CT is some distance away.) Registrar notes Jacob came to Williamstown in 1815.

Janet Galeucia Helgemoe, Galusha-Galeucia Family, July 1968, Bow NH. Jacob, son of Jacob and Dinah, is on record in Williamstown, New Ashford, and Hancock, MA. All towns are close together. He was born 1793 and died 1885 at 92 years. He married Betsey Manchester. Births of all children were recorded in Williamstown although the children were born in New Ashford and Hancock.

The records show evidence of Jacob from CT who went to Williamstown, MA, then crossed the border into New York. He was probably one of the tentative list of the sons of Daniel (3).
Misc. Notes
Born in February or March, 1793.
Notes for Jacob & Betsey (Cynthia) (Family)
The marriage of Jacob and Betsey is recorded in the "Vital Records of Williamstown, MA".

Though this is noted in Jackie Ziff's family file, and though it also notes their first children were born in Berkshire, MA, the same file has them married in "Allegany, NY".
