Notes for Francis Quinette
Lived in Stueben County, NY from before 1827 to summer 1850 (found there in 1840 and 1850 censuses, plus Alex was reportedly born there). Moved to Andover, Allegany County in summer 1850.

May have been the Francis in New York City in 1810, and may have been a son of Bazel Quenet, listed in NYC in 1800. "Bazel" is similar to the middle name "Brazil" of Alexander's third son.

An 85-year-old wagon maker "Francis Quinett" lived next door to Clarinda, Francis' daughter-in-law in Decorah, IA in 1870.

The 1850 census says Francis was born in Canada and NY. The 1870 census says he was born in New York.

Spelled "Quinette" in the 1850 Census and "Quinett" in the 1870 Census.
