It's been reported that Clarinda died in Kansas with Eleanor in 1891, but that appears to have been disproven. As late as June 1880, Clarinda was living in Houston Township with a third husband, Luman Martin. Eleanor had left for Otter Tail County, perhaps over ten years before.
