Gone by 1850, unless she was AKA Sarah/Sally. May have died in 1844-45, when Daniel was born. If she did die by 1850, it was probably near Woodhull, MI. If Betsy was Sally, she probably died in Illinois.
Children Marietta and Danford were found in the 1850 and 1860 census.
Cora Idella (Johnston) Sjostrand said the name of Marietta's mother was "Molly". Could she have been talking about the apparent second wife of Daniel Searles (Sally), or were Betsy and Sally the same person? |
