Marietta was present at her father's funeral in Cherokee County, IA in 1903. She was probably in Luverne at the time, though she may have still been in Sioux Rapids.
The census states Marietta was born in New York, but Elva appears to have thought it was Michigan. It turns out that she was only an infant when she and her parents moved to Michigan (1844-45). |
