"Mols" is the peninsula on the southern end of Djursland, and also the herred of that peninsula. Its principal town is Ebeltoft.
Jens, age 11, was residing with his parents in Hvilsager when the 1834 census was taken. His father, a day laborer, was 51 and his mother, a weaver, was 46. It is possible that our Rasmus Nielsen was his older brother. Rasmus was born in Hvilsager, and was 19 or 20 at the time.
A Jens Nielsen, age 22, was in the 1845 census, residing in Bendstrup, Hvilsager Sogn. His occupation was "Tjenestefolk". |
