Rury Angus MacNeil, 36 Charlotte Street, died at his residence Tuesday morning.
Born in Iona, he was the son of the late Johm M. and Christina MacDonald MacNeil. He was a member of St. Columba Church.
He was predeceased by his wife the former Euphemia Gillis in 1963.
He is survived by six daughters, Christina (Mrs. Bernie MacNeil), Toronto; Theresa (Mrs. John MacDonald), Calgary; Mary (Mrs. Danny Fraser), Westmount; Jennie (Mrs. Eugene Grandy), Cecilia (Mrs. Tom Baker) both of Cole Harbour, NS., Elizabeth (Mrs. Gerard Gillis), South West Margaree; seven sons, John, Toronto; Neil, Sydney; Malcolm, Hector, Alex, Archie and Norman, all of South West Margaree.
Also surviving are three sisters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Bernie MacNeil), Sydney; Annie (Mrs. Malcolm Campbell), South Bar; and Jasson, in the United States; one brother John Joseph, Sydney. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.
Besides his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by a sister Sally and a brother Michael.
The remains are resting at the Sydney Memorial Chapel, Welton Street, and will be forwarded to St. Columba Church Friday for funeral mass at 11 am with interment in the churchyard Cemetery.
