| Obituary: Joseph Donlin MERRILL, Iowa - Joseph "Jay" Donlin, 84, died Friday at the Akron Community Hospital in Akron. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church in Merrill. The Rev. Donald Bardole will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Mr. Donlin was born March 3, 1900, in Marcus. He married Ethel Cook Feb. 15, 1922, in Seney. He farmed in his early married life and worked for Sioux Tools for 15 years before retiring. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Merrill. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Elaine) Wendt of LeMars, Mrs. Wayne (Esther) Hamilton of Merrill; one son, Donald of Merrill; one sister, Mrs. Alvin Wintefield of Craig; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. | ||||||||||||
