| James N. Hullett, who has been a rsident of Pawnee county for the past 52 years, died at his home in Larned Monday morning. The infirmatives of age had affected his health for some time, but his final acute illness extended over the last week. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Beckwith Mortuary at 4:00 o'clock and were conducted by Rev. Marion Groves of the First Christian church. Burial was in Larned cemetery. James Nelson Hullett, son of Amelia and William Hullett, was born June 22, 1858, in Macoupin county, IL, and was 80 years, 1 month and 10 days old at the time of his death. On September 2, 1886, he was married to Hattie Clare Ward in Jetmore, Kan. To this union were born eight children: George Edward of Wichita, Ernest L., Larned, Loris R., Temple, Texas, Telford and Horace who preceded their father in death, Mrs. Florine Seitz of Wichita, Mrs. C. E. Simmons of Larned and Mrs. Charles Gilmore of Gread Bend. Besides his wife and six children he is survived by 16 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. |
